Small Han Dynasty Antique 1300 - 1600 Chinese unglazed stoneware medicine jar with lid.
Han dynasty pottery pieces, often covered with a green lead glaze. Their pastes are yellow to brick red depending on firing condition with their glaze varying from green to brown and actually colorless.
This kind of wares seems to have had a long tradition even if it was superseded rather early by green glazed "proto porcelain" i.e. stoneware.
This is a rare item to discover still intact.
